Optimising Periprosthetic Hip Stability An International Delphi Consensus

The purpose of this study is to bring an international community of arthroplasty expert surgeon and researchers together to define based on the best available evidence the optimal planning, surgical techniques and post-operative care for primary total hip arthroplasty (THA) to ensure periprosthetic stability which remains a common and serious complication.

Method(s)

Experts will be assigned to a subgroup based on their expertise. Each subgroup will be given a list of relevant questions designed by the steering committee. Three rounds of anonymous voting will take place with subsequent modifications before a final vote undertaken by all participants. Statements which reach consensus of at least 80% will form the final statement.
